Addison began competitive dancing at the age of six, participating in competitions all over the world. Before moving to Los Angeles to pursue her TikTok career, the dancer attended Louisiana State University (LSU) for a semester to study sports broadcasting but dropped out when her TikTok following exploded.
Rae began using TikTok in July of this year, posting dance videos to famous songs. She has been a member of the TikTok collaboration group The Hype House since its inception in December 2019. Rae gained over one million TikTok followers in just a few months and decided to quit LSU in November. In April 2020, Rae told Business Insider, that she knew that’s when it changed for her.
