South of Nowhere
She appeared as Chelsea Lewis in the American teen drama television series South of Nowhere. Chelsea Lewis is one of the main characters in South of Nowhere since season two. She is an aspiring artist who was Clay Carlin’s girlfriend. She assisted him with many of the challenges he encountered following his transfer from Ohio. Chelsea was pregnant and initially planned to have an abortion, but Clay’s support and his death changed her mind.
In the season 3 episode “Fighting Crime,” Chelsea loses her baby after someone drives into Glen’s car while she is sitting in it. It would’ve been a girl. Davis played Rina, the birth mom of Joe and Walter’s adopted twins in season three of Grey’s Anatomy. While pregnant, Rina was attempting to decide which couple to adopt the child—Joe and Walter or someone else. Having received no prenatal care, Joe and Walter took her to Addison Forbes Montgomery, who performed an ultrasound and discovered that she was pregnant—something she was unaware of. After taking her to the bus stop so she could return home, Walter brought her back to the bar where she passed out and needed to be rushed to the emergency room.
Preston Burke took over her treatment in the emergency room and informed her that she would require surgery for an aortic dissection, implying that the kids would most likely be born that day. They brought her to the operating room, where the kids were delivered promptly and Burke had her heart repaired. She remained stable and alert throughout the procedure. Walter and Joe sat at her bedside, holding their newborn twins.
Friday Night Lights
Davis plays Waverly Grady in the first season of the Friday Night Lights TV series. The series debuted on Comedy Central on July 9, 2013. On August 26, 2019, the show was renewed for a seventh season. On August 19, 2020, Comedy Central reconsidered its decision, canceling the series after the sixth season. Production had already begun prior to the COVID-19 epidemic. A variety of international versions have also been released.
Derek Waters got the concept for the series from a drunken chat he had with his friend and actor Jake Johnson, during which Johnson told the story of R&B musician Otis Redding, who died in a plane crash. Waters believed it would be amusing to film and reproduce a tale about an intoxicated individual bumbling through a historical incident, with actors reenacting the events. Waters contacted his friend, actor Michael Cera, about the idea, and Cera pushed him to do it and agreed to appear in the video. The first video debuted on the website Funny or Die on August 6, 2007. It starred Johnson, Waters, Cera, and Ashley Johnson. The show continues to air online on Funny or Die and briefly on HBO. It first aired on Comedy Central on July 9, 2013.
