On July 10, 2002, Carlo made his debut at Stand-Up New York in New York City. In August 2002, Simon & Schuster released a collection of Carlo’s lines; this collection was also called Reflections on College Life. The book is currently in its ninth edition. In May 2005, Simon & Schuster published Caro’s second book, “Meditations on Life in My Twenties,” a compilation of her post-college writings. In July 2005, Carlo moved from New York to Los Angeles and began writing for television.
