He was Chief Meteorologist at WOAY-TV, an ABC station in Oak Hill, West Virginia, prior to that.

WTEN-TV

WTEN is an ABC-affiliated television station licensed to Albany, New York, that broadcasts on virtual channel 10 and serves New York’s Capital District as well as Berkshire County, Massachusetts. Nexstar Media Group, which also owns Fox affiliate WXXA-TV and operates it under a joint sales and shared services agreement with owner Mission Broadcasting, owns the station. WTEN’s transmitter is located on the Helderberg Escarpment west of New Salem, a hamlet of New Scotland, and the two stations share studios on Northern Boulevard in Albany’s Bishop’s Gate neighborhood.

WTEN used to own and operate WCDC-TV, a full-time satellite station in Adams, Massachusetts, whose transmitter was on Mount Greylock, the state’s highest peak. Although there was extensive overlap between the two stations’ contours otherwise, WCDC-signal TV’s covered regions of western Massachusetts and southern Vermont that received a minimal to non-existent over-the-air signal from WTEN. WCDC-TV was a direct simulcast of WTEN, with the only on-air mentions of the station occurring during the FCC-mandated hourly legal identifications. WCDC-TV did not have any physical presence in Adams other than the transmitter. Through the FCC’s spectrum incentive auction, Nexstar set a December 1, 2017 shutdown date for WCDC-TV, but damage to the station’s transmission line forced it to shut down two weeks early on November 19.
