Donald David Cryer, his father, is an actor and vocalist who formerly pursued a career in ministry. The Rev. Donald Walter Cryer was a well-known Methodist clergyman and his paternal grandpa. He has two sisters: Shelly and Robin. Cryer graduated from the Bronx High School of Science in 1983 and spent three summers as a youngster attending Stagedoor Manor Performing Arts Training Center. To his mother’s “great disappointment,” he chose to take a summer short course in Shakespeare at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, England, instead of attending college.

Charlie Austin is Cryer’s son from his 1999 marriage to British actress Sarah Trigger. 2004 saw their divorce. He declared his engagement to entertainment reporter Lisa Joyner on a February 2007 broadcast of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. The couple were married in Mexico in June 2007. They made the announcement that they have adopted a baby girl on September 29, 2009. When he and Joyner first started dating, he said to Jeff Probst in 2012, she questioned whether he could be gay since “he never kissed me.”

Cryer role on Two and a Half Men
Actor Cryer played Alan Harper in the popular comedy series Two and a Half Men in 2003, which marked the end of his fruitless TV career. Because of her acquaintance with Charlie Sheen, Cryer was cast against the objections of CBS officials. For his acting in the show, he was nominated for seven Primetime Emmy Awards and took home two of them.
He applauded the show’s large viewership, saying it relieved him of the need to follow his gut and do what had previously worked for him. Following Sheen’s exit, Cryer—alongside Ashton Kutcher—took the starring role. Since Sheen was dismissed in March 2011 and his son Angus T. Jones left the show at the end of season 10, he is the only actor to have featured in every episode of the show.

Cryer appeared as Jim Kearney Sr. in the American television sitcom Extended Family. Following a cordial divorce, Jim and Julia agree to keep their children at the family home while alternating who gets to be with them. Jim finds it increasingly difficult to navigate the seas of divorce and child-sharing when Trey, the owner of his beloved sports team, enters the picture and captures Julia’s heart.

He appeared as Lex Luthor in Supergirl, Batwoman, The Flash, Arrow, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Billionaire entrepreneur, scientist, and inventor Alexander Joseph “Lex” Luthor is well-known for his cunning and for leading Luthor Corp. as CEO. He was Superman’s former best friend and archenemy. He was the late Lionel and Lillian Luthor’s son. Lex was able to break free from Stryker’s Island Penitentiary after being given 32 consecutive life sentences there and carry on with his battle against Kryptonians. He was brought back to life by Mar Novu to aid in the Anti-Monitor Crisis, in which he utilized the Book of Destiny to alter reality and usurp Superman from Earth-96 as the Paragon of Truth.
In a new reality where she has no criminal record, Lex’s memories of the original multiverse are still intact. Following the Superfriends’ victory over Leviathan, Lex locked Supergirl away in the Phantom Zone. Lex journeyed to the 31st century after his trial and fell in love with Nyxlygsptlnz, a person he considered to be on par with him. After his Nyxly passed away, he came back to the 21st century and is currently collaborating with the Nyxly of today to stop her from passing away again. Nyxly and Lex were both held captive in the Phantom Zone.
