Yarde is an American actor. Yarde is a contributor to “The Late Show with Larry Wilmore”. Yard is a past winner of Comedy Central’s Get Up, Stand Up comedy competition. He has also appeared with Amy Schumer and split with Michelle Wolf. Yarde grew up in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Fredericksburg. He moved with his family to the East New York neighborhood of Brooklyn when he was 13. He studied computer programming at Hunter College and later worked briefly as a union steward, helping to organize a protest at the Museum of Modern Art before trying his hand at an art competition for the first time at the age of 24. He became a well-known figure in the New York comedy scene, touring and appearing on ComicView, Def Comedy Jam, and Comedy at the Apollo. He became a prominent actor as the “foil” on the Late Show with Larry Wilmore, and was known for his role as a policy wonk, such as his role in describing the weapon called “The Pistol” and in a recurring segment on “Y-Files” that parodied conspiracy theories. He also has his own podcast, “Yard Talk”. In 2018, Yarde joined the series regular cast of the American television news program Live From Here.
