He is known for his work on Sam Kinison’s Comic Outlaws, for which he was a 2014 Last Comic Book finalist, and his role in King of Queens, The Star Known for Laughter. He later became a member of Kinison’s Comedic Outlaws and toured with Kinison for five years before his death in 1992. Schubert was a finalist on NBC’s 2014 comedy show Last Comic Standing and has performed with Dave Attell on Comedy Central Presents and Comedy Underground. He was one of the first artists signed to Stand Up! Records, along with Lewis Black and Doug Stanhope,[16] who released four of his albums. His style has been described as “old-school” investigative comedy about everyday stressors such as Starbucks and airport security with a “modern-day Archie Bunker perspective”. Jason Birchmeier of Allmusic stated: “Schubert’s confidence and clear delivery enhance the humor, making it his most entertaining moment.”
