Roberts made his debut at the Mark Ridley Comedy Castle in Royal Oak, Michigan. After the comic’s performance on BET, a fan gave Tony a gold bracelet with a microphone and told him he was her favorite comic. Tony would wear it whenever he did it. He has appeared on HBO’s Def Comedy Jam, BET’s ComicView, and It’s Showtime at the Apollo. In February 2006, Roberts was selected to perform at the HBO Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen. Roberts has performed his show worldwide from New York to Los Angeles at many major institutions in the United States, including the Comedy Store, The Park, Caroline’s, One Night Stans, Celebrity Theatre, Boston Comedy Club, The Mint Lounge, All Jokes Abandoned, the Fox Theatre, and the Regal Theatre. He has participated in the BET Comedy Tour, the Russell Simmons Def Comedy Jam Tour, and the USO TOUR.
