He appeared as Jun Park, Chief Irvin Irving’s second wife in the Amazon streaming series Bosch. Irvin S. Irving is a city councilman in Los Angeles who was previously the assistant chief and deputy chief of the Los Angeles Police Department. He is well-known for his menacing look, political savvy, and ambition. Joining the LAPD in 1955, his menacing appearance, political intelligence, and desire helped him advance through the ranks.

Irving oversaw the Public Disorder Unit (PDU) in the late 1980s; the PDU was known for compiling information but not for concluding many cases. He manipulated cases with the unit to further his political and personal goals. Irving and a fellow PDU detective visited Rebecca Verloren’s father after her 1988 murder, cautioning him against discussing the case’s racial component. Irving was now in complete control of Internal Affairs, a position he would eventually hold.

Harry Bosch was suspended and moved from RHD to the Hollywood Division in 1989 as a result of Irving’s involvement in disciplining him for his activities in the Dollmaker case. He was unable to fire Bosch even if he wanted to. Sato worked as the ship’s translator, protocol officer, and communications officer starting in 2151. Over the course of the next ten years, she was ultimately in charge of developing the linguacode universal linguistics matrix.

Sato gained respect in the annals of Federation and Starfleet history as a crew member of the NX-01 and a crucial contributor to the creation of the extensively used universal translator. Nyota Uhura submitted three papers on Sato when a cadet at Starfleet Academy, a fact she brought up in 2259 when discussing her appreciation for Sato’s life and profession. Uhura continued Sato’s legacy by joining the first Federation spaceship USS Enterprise as its communications officer. A holographic depiction of Sato was featured in a historic holodeck program from the twenty-fourth century that showed the last journey of Enterprise NX-01. Commander William T. Riker used the USS Enterprise-D in 2370 to access this program.
