He became bitter because she had left him. After being found, Edmund was taken to Hale House School for Boys, where he was housed until he turned eighteen. After years of being in the foster system, Mildred eventually located Edmund in his school. After being reunited, Edmund vanished and told false stories about being freed. Edmund vanished once more, but Mildred vowed she was there.

Roanoke

In the season’s reenactment of Roanoke, Wittrock played reluctant cannibal Jether Polk in a guest-starring role. While fleeing the Lost Colony in Roanoke House, Monet, Audrey, and Lee are apprehended by Jether and the Polk brothers. Jether takes a sick fascination in the women and films their mistreatment on tape with the intention of using the footage to indulge in self-indulgence. Mama Polk gives Jether the task of guarding Lee, and their few conversations cause Jether to question his allegiance to the family. Jether says he wants to be famous and feels left out, but he will never be as well-known as his ancestor Kincaid Polk, who murdered multiple people while sporting a pig’s head.

Jether admits that Lee will be his first human victim and that he has never killed anyone before. Jether offers Lee some of his cocaine as he assists her in getting away, and he begins to intimately touch himself. Lee touches Jether’s intimate areas in an attempt to entice him, then chokes him with one arm and stabs him in the neck to end his life.

 American Horror Story

Wittrock made his American Horror Story debut in the first season of Freak Show, playing the unsettling character Dandy Mott, who is obsessed with “freaks.” For this role, he received a nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or a Movie. Gloria Mott’s son is Dandy Mott. Despite his physical attractiveness, Dandy feels a stronger connection to Elsa Mars’s freak show performers and hopes to become one of them. His mother hires a deranged clown for him to occupy himself after Jimmy Darling rejects him, and he ends up being the serial killer’s self-appointed protege. But in the end, he makes the decision to turn himself into a serial killer, endangering everyone on Jupiter.

As the most rotten apple on his family tree, Dandy was a pampered man-child who was obsessed with violence and emotionally disturbed. He threw evil tantrums and reacted badly to his wants, endangering and threatening people and animals alike. When he met Bette and Dot, he became interested in starting a family, even though he had no desire to fall in love or have children.

Dandy imagined himself a living “God” above the law and society, and he thought he was better than everyone else in his town. He demonstrated his cunning and ability to manipulate people’s emotions by using his family’s wealth and position to influence the authorities. Dandy did not eat any of his victims, but he did confess to thinking about cannibalism and taking baths in human blood during therapy.

Dandy made Ima Wiggles feel uncomfortable and showed little concern for the freaks, making him a worse owner than Elsa. They quit their jobs partly because he suggested disfiguring the freaks to make them more interesting. But when the Tattler Twins and the other Freaks banded together to bring him down, Dandy was shown to be mistaken about the universe centering around him. He was probably between the mid and late twenties.
