Casey worked as a writer for the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live from 2012 to 2013, and for the Comedy Central series Inside Amy Schumer in 2014, earning Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series for both shows. He appeared as a series regular in the comedies Other Space (2015) and Making History (2017). Casey also had an appearance in the Ghostbusters reboot from 2016. He began his theatrical career in 2001 and has worked at UCB Theatre since 2007, where he also teaches. He has directed, written, and acted in various theatrical productions. In 2015, Casey featured in Paul Feig’s Yahoo! Screen series Other Space.
In 2017, Casey began co-starring opposite Adam Pally in the Fox time-travel comedy Making History, playing Sam Adams. Casey was hired in 2012 to compose comedic sketches for Saturday Night Live season 38. He was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series at the 65th program, He was also nominated for a Writers Guild of America Award in 2013 and 2015 for Comedy/Variety (including talk) series.
