At Aurora, Colorado’s Overland High School, Campbell played football with his high school team. Campbell, who is thought to be among the best defensive back prospects in the country, picked Miami over Colorado, Washington, and Nebraska. Campbell began performing stand-up comedy while attending the University of Miami, but he gave it up after just three months since the early morning football workouts conflicted with late-night comedic events.

Following his NFL retirement, Campbell relocated to Los Angeles and made a comeback to the comedy scene in 2013. He frequently does stand-up at renowned comedy clubs in the Los Angeles area.
