Handler was born in New York City to secular Jewish parents, Enid Irene, a mental health administrator, and Murry Raymond Handler, an agency owner and advertising designer. Handler has a brother, Lowell, and a sister, Lillian. He was raised in the Town of Cortlandt, New York, near Croton-on-Hudson, and went to Hendrick Hudson High School in Montrose, New York. He later attended the Juilliard School as a member of the Drama Division Group.

She appeared as Harry Goldenblatt in the American comedy drama television series And Just Like That… Set 11 years after the events of the 2010 film Sex and the City 2, the ladies in Sex and the City go from a life of liberation and camaraderie in their thirties to a more complicated reality of life and friendship in their fifties. The first season was initially described as a one-off miniseries, with the finale airing on February 3, 2022. However, a second season was confirmed in March 2022 and premiered on June 22, 2023. In August 2023, the series was renewed for a third season, which would premiere in 2025.
Power
She appeared as Jacob Warner in the American crime drama thriller television series Power. Power depicts the narrative of James St. Patrick, a clever, slick, and vicious drug dealer known by the moniker “Ghost.” He wants to quit the criminal world and pursue legal economic opportunities as a nightclub owner. The Astronaut Wives Club
She appeared as Duncan “Dunk” Pringle in the 2015 American period drama television series The Astronaut Wives Club. The Astronaut Wives Club debuted on June 18, 2015. Following the conclusion of its run, the series’ developer stated that the series was intended to be a miniseries that told a full tale. However, in an interview with Variety, series creator Stephanie Savage indicated that the producers were interested in making the series an anthology if it was renewed for a second season. Possible seasons would have included wives of men in the 1920s, wives of World War II soldiers, wives of men working on Wall Street, and wives of men in the 1980s, among other possibilities.
