Drop Dead Diva
Hurst is an American actor best known for playing Grayson Kent in the Lifetime series Drop Dead Diva.Grayson Kent is the main character of the Lifetime drama series Drop Dead Diva. He is a lawyer with Harrison & Parker and was dating Deb Dobkins at the time she died.
Grayson was raised by his mother and stepfather, who he considers his father. Grayson’s biological father departed when he was three years old after the family lost money in a swindle. He works as a lawyer for Harrison & Parker and is one of the series’ key protagonists. He was Deb Dobkins’ boyfriend till she died.
Still missing her, he began working at Harrison and Parker, the same legal firm where Jane (now inhabited by Deb’s soul) works. They become great friends and frequently seek counsel from one another, although Jane keeps her feelings disguised. He appears to have high regard for Jane’s ability as a lawyer and cares about her to some level.
Grayson joins Harrison and Parker as a new lawyer in the first episode. He is aware of Kim Kaswell’s interest to him, but ignores it because he is still longing for Deb. The two date, but he refuses to invite Kim to the home he and Deb shared. Kim, realizing this and that he isn’t ready to move on from Deb, calls it off.

Hurst played Thomas Archibald on Grey’s Anatomy’s season eleven episode Crazy Love.Thomas Archibald, a cook, was rushed to the ER after his wife severed his penis.Thomas began an affair with his sous cook, Rory Petrucci. They discussed founding a restaurant together and becoming co-chefs.
When Thomas’ wife, Marcia, discovered that he was sleeping with Rory, she got a sharp knife and hacked off his penis, placing it in a pot at Rory’s station. Rory discovered Thomas covered in blood. Rory placed the penis in a bag and transported it and Thomas to the hospital for treatment.
The physicians were able to clean and reattach the penis. When Marcia arrived at the hospital, they contacted security, but Thomas disclosed that he had called her and planned to forgive her for chopping off his penis, and she forgiven him for sleeping with Rory, which violated their agreement, which permitted him to sleep with waitresses and hostesses.
When Rory discovered that Thomas was planning to stay with Marcia, she entered his room, chopped off his penis a second time, and fled with it. Stephanie Edwards followed her down and persuaded her to hand over the penis so that it could be reattached.
