Jazmyn Simon is an American actor and children’s book author best known for her appearances in Ballers, on the Netflix series Raising Dion, and in Psych: The Movie, Psych 2: Lassie Come Home, and Psych 3: This Is Gus.

Simon spent her early years in northern California. Her background includes some Creole ancestry. Simon relocated to Las Vegas in middle school and was reared by her grandparents. Simon’s radio experience influenced her decision to attend the University of Nevada to study production. She first became interested in performing while attending college.
Husband
Simon married the actor Dulé Hill in 2018. They met on the set of Ballers and have featured in a number of projects together, including the Psych films, Locked Down, and The Wonder Years. She has a daughter from a previous relationship that Hill has adopted. In 2019, Simon gave birth to their son.

She appeared as Julie Greane, wife of ex–NFL player Charles Greane in the American sports comedy drama television series Ballers. Spencer Strasmore and Charles Greane face the hardships of life after football by working as financial consultants and automobile dealers. Spencer struggles to sign Vernon Littlefield as a client, while Charles secures a position at a car dealership. Ricky Jerret, a struggling auto salesman, realizes that his teammate is wearing his number.
They petition Mr. Anderson for permission to hold a corporate function, but a locker room joke goes too far. Spencer deals with recurring TBI symptoms and confrontations with Reggie. Jason’s ties with the Dallas Cowboys jeopardized Spencer’s professional and personal relationships. Charles’ marriage is on the rocks after seeing a naked woman on his cell phone. Ricky tries to connect with Alonzo by taking him to a strip club, but their spending becomes out of control.
Psych
She also portrayed Selene Gilmore in Psych: The Movie, Psych 2: Lassie Come Home and Psych 3: This Is Gus. Shawn and Gus first encounter Selene in the planetarium. Gus is immediately enamored and intends to make her his, but she surprises him by making the first move and inviting him up to the telescopes. However, they rapidly disagree on whether Pluto or Eris should be designated the ninth planet of our solar system. Selene then gives Gus a passionate kiss, which he reciprocates before storming out of the planetarium in a huff.
The two eventually met again in the morgue, where she was able to locate Gus via his Instagram post. After taking him aside, she says that she researched him extensively on the internet and chose him to be her boyfriend.She hands him the “resume” of her romantic history, as well as his favorite sandwich (fluffernutter), and pledges to allow him some time to think about her proposal.
Selene subsequently sees Gus again after he returns from Alcatraz, where he expresses sorrow for not getting with her when he had the chance. He cheerfully agrees to a partnership as long as he can be the “cheetah,” which Selene accepts. They kiss and intend to accompany Shawn and Juliet on their honeymoon.
Raising Dion
She appeared as Kat Neese, Nicole’s older sister who is a surgeon in Raising Dion. Raising Dion tells the narrative of Nicole, a mother who raises her son Dion following the death of her husband Mark. Dion’s regular difficulties of parenting a boy as a single mother are heightened when she begins to manifest many superhero-like skills. Nicole must now keep her son’s powers hidden with the help of Mark’s best friend Pat, as well as safeguard Dion from those seeking to exploit him while determining the source of his abilities.

In 2022, Simon wrote a children’s book named Most Perfect You, inspired by discussions with her daughter, and coauthored another children’s book, Repeat After Me, with her husband.
