Renée Elise Goldsberry is an American actress and vocalist who originated the part of Angelica Schuyler in the Broadway musical Hamilton, for which she received the 2016 Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. Her previous Broadway credits include Nettie Harris in the original Broadway production of The Color Purple and Mimi Marquez in Rent.
