He maintained communication with the membership through a national journal called the Broadside, which was sent to tens of thousands of College Republicans around the country. Spadea has been the morning drive time host on New Jersey 101.5 (WKXW) since December 2015, replacing long-time morning personality Jim Gearhart while also hosting the Chasing News television show. In June 2018, Spadea called for a state constitutional change to repeal the Mount Laurel concept, claiming that the imposition of superfluous housing development unfairly increased tax obligations. Spadea was vociferous and critical of Gov. Murphy’s handling of the epidemic in New Jersey, particularly the lockdowns and other restrictions. Spadea also presided over a December event held by the New York Young Republicans, which included white extremists.
