Parks appeared in the HBO telefilm Taking Chance and the 2012 film Premium Rush opposite Kevin Bacon and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. In 2013, he appeared as a series regular in the Lifetime comedy-drama Devious Maids. Parks played Arcadius on The Vampire Diaries for a few episodes in the final season. In May 2020, Parks was cast as “The Stranger” in the CW series Superman and Lois.
