Zouves was a reporter and anchor at KGTV (10News-ABC) in San Diego from 2013 to late summer 2015. She was hired in July 2015 as a reporter and anchor for KGO-ABC7 News in San Francisco. She and Reggie Aqui began anchoring the morning show on December 21, 2015. In addition to her duties as a news anchor, she reported on themes such as how the housing crisis affects domestic violence survivors’ ability to leave their abusers. She highlighted stories of resilience, bringing together two men who leaped off the Golden Gate Bridge and survived. Her work at KGO-ABC7 News was recognized with two Emmy Awards.

Zouves suffered a severe concussion just after concluding a newscast in 2018, but recovered and returned to work in early 2019. She describes the event in a blog post, “I am hopeful that, by opening up about the details of my injury and recovery, I’m able to shed some light and awareness and let others know they’re not alone.” She wrote about the incident in a Medium piece. Zouves left ABC7 News in September 2019 after being selected for Stanford University’s John S. Knight Fellowship. Zouves is currently a network news anchor and investigative reporter for NewsNation, a new cable news network.

She uses Facebook and Instagram to increase people’s access to news while also staying in touch with the community. She is active in the community and has participated in and acted as an MC at numerous events, including the kickoff of the March of Dimes March for Babies walk in San Francisco. She hosted the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night event in San Francisco, which raised more than $2 million to help find a cure for blood cancer. She has also been highly involved in the Special Olympics, having emceed several events. Zouves received an Emmy in San Diego. In June 2018, she got two further Emmys for feature news reporting, light series, and news writing.
