Hutson has starred in a number of national advertisements as well as sitcoms such as Damaged Goods and Less Than Perfect. Her film credits include the 1997 independent film Mixed Signals, the 2000 independent film Endsville, and the May 2000 TV movie Rated X, in which she played adult film star Marilyn Chambers alongside Charlie Sheen and Emilio Estevez. Hutson’s work as a stylist and designer began in 1999 when she launched her own design firm in Los Angeles. Hutson began working as a style consultant on ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition in 2003. She stayed with the show’s crew until it finished in 2012. Hutson and fellow Extreme Makeover: Home Edition star Tanya McQueen premiered Picker Sisters on Lifetime in 2011. The episode follows Hutson and McQueen as they travel throughout the country in quest of antiques and rare artifacts for their Los Angeles home design store. In the video series Momtourage, Hutson collaborates with The Design Network to aid “deserving moms” with their interior design.
