Quick earned a BA in Political Science from Rutgers University in 1993, where she was the editor-in-chief of The Daily Targum. She received the Times Mirror Fellowship from Rutgers’ Journalism Resources Institute as an undergraduate. Prior to joining CNBC, she worked for The Wall Street Journal, where she covered retail and e-commerce business subjects and helped establish the paper’s online in April 1996. She was the site’s International News Editor, in charge of foreign affairs coverage. She co-moderated the Republican presidential debate on October 28, 2015. Quick has interviewed some of the world’s most powerful investors and financial power brokers, including Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, Alan Greenspan, T. Boone Pickens, Jamie Dimon, and Charlie Munger. She has also interviewed three United States presidents, and she hosted the 2007 television documentary “Warren Buffett: The Billionaire Next Door Going Global.”
