Shannon O’Donnell is a meteorologist and news anchor from the United States. She is the chief meteorologist at KOMO 4. In 1994, O’Donnell began working for KOMO in Seattle. She later moved on to KING in Seattle as the weekend morning meteorologist, in addition to her ongoing duties for Northwest Cable News.

In 1994, O’Donnell started working for KOMO in Seattle, where she was taught by Chief Meteorologist Steve Pool. She joined KING in Seattle two years later as the weekend morning meteorologist, in addition to her work for Northwest Cable News. She received the AMS Seal of Approval in 1997. She kept that role till the year 2000. In 2001, O’Donnell joined KNTV, the NBC station for the San Francisco Bay Area. She earned an Emmy in 2004 for her work as a meteorologist and was awarded Best TV Weather Anchor in 2005 and 2006. She also worked as a weather reporter for Early Today and as a weather substitute for MSNBC from 2003 to 2006. O’Donnell announced her departure from KNTV in 2007 to join her husband. In December 2007, O’Donnell returned to KING/NWCN as the weeknight 10 p.m. anchor and meteorologist. After being laid off from KING 5 in February 2009, including her position on sister station KONG 6/16, O’Donnell returned to KOMO 4 as a freelance weekend weather anchor. She began working as the weekend weather anchor for KOMO 4 in August 2009.
