Stevenson’s underlying profession was as a legal counselor at Melbourne law office Darvall McCutcheon and afterward at Slater and Gordon. In 1985, while still a legal counselor, Stevenson started his radio profession on local area station 3RRR where he cooperated with individual attorney Denis Connell on a show called Legal counselors, Weapons and Cash, a reference from a Warren Zevon melody (“Send legal advisors, firearms and cash, the crap has stirred things up around town”).
