Ward attended an audition for the television series Nash Bridges, which was filmed in the area while studying cinema in San Francisco. The part was reprised for three seasons. Ward continued to work in television after moving to Los Angeles, while still writing and painting. She has appeared in various minor television roles, including Grey’s Anatomy, King of the Hill, and Key & Peele on Comedy Central. Ward has done a lot of fan recaps for ABC shows such as Once Upon a Time, Revenge, and Scandal. She joined the CBS series Innovation Nation as a journalist in 2014, for which she received an Emmy for Outstanding Writing Special Class in 2016.[She became a frequent contributor to the Netflix educational series Brainchild in 2018.
She also began anchoring the CW show Did I Mention Invention? in 2018. Along with Alie Ward. She co-hosted the first season of Netflix’s investigative series 100 Humans with Sammy Obeid and Zainab Johnson in 2020.
