At the 2018 Logies, Wendt presented the program 60 Minutes with the Logies Hall of Fame honor. 60 Minutes is an American television news magazine that airs on the CBS network. The program, which debuted in 1968, was established by Don Hewitt and Bill Leonard, who distinguished it from other news programs by employing a distinct style of reporter-centered investigation. 60 Minutes was named sixth on TV Guide’s list of the “50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time” in 2002, and 24th on the magazine’s list of the “60 Best Series of All Time” in 2013.

Jana Wendt Nine Network
Bits of gossip about Wendt’s takeoff from Nine started in June 2006, when the organization declared it would blend its Sunday and Business Sunday programs. Breaks to the print media, purportedly from significant levels inside Nine and depicted by columnists as “ham-fisted”, uncovered that the organization needed to supplant Wendt with Ellen Fanning. The CEO at the time, Eddie McGuire, was specifically accused of attempting to “white-ant” Wendt. On 1 September 2006, it was declared that Wendt would leave the Nine Organization. News reports proposed she would get a payout of more than A$2 million in lieu of the leftover over two years of her agreement.
The shortfall of Wendt on the Sunday program’s relaunch on 3 September 2006 was met with an exceptional number of protests that overflowed the Nine Organization’s switchboard. Wendt was then sacked from her normal “Lunch” section for The Release magazine, because of the affiliation the magazine has with the Nine Organization; both had a similar parent organization, PBL. On 12 September 2006, only ten days after she left the Nine Organization, Wendt consented to show up in front of an audience at the Seven Organization’s 50 Years of TV show, where she co-gave the News and Current Issues area Sydney news moderator Ian Ross, another previous Nine Organization representative
