She began her career as an anchor for Foxtel’s Arena News Updates. She began her career as a weather presenter for The Weather Channel in 2004, and in 2005 she took over as host of the morning show Your Weather Today. She worked as a weekend news presenter and reporter for the Seven Network’s Western Australian news bulletin at TVW in Perth for four years, commencing in 2009.
Bowrey returned to Sydney in 2012, filling in as a weather presenter for Sarah Cumming while she was on maternity leave, and the following year, when Seven News launched a live evening news bulletin, Seven News at 7, she became the Western Australia version’s presenter.
