Michael Imperioli Biography
Michael Imperioli is an actor, writer, and musician from the United States best known for his role as Christopher Moltisanti in the HBO crime drama The Sopranos, for which he received a Primetime Emmy Award in 2004 for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. He rose to prominence in the early part of his career for his performance as Spider in Martin Scorsese’s Goodfellas.

Dan Imperioli, a bus driver and amateur actor, and Claire Imperioli, a department store employee and amateur actress, are his parents. In the 1890s, his ancestors immigrated to New York from Lazio and Sicily in Italy. Imperioli and his family moved to Brewster, New York, when he was 11 years old, and he began watching Broadway plays.
He intended to study pre-med at the State University of New York at Albany after graduating from Brewster High School in 1983. He told his parents the night before starting college and moved to Manhattan’s East Village to study acting. He met John Ventimiglia, who later played Artie Bucco on The Sopranos, at Lee Strasberg, and the two became roommates.

Michael Imperioli The Sopranos
He played Christopher Moltisanti in The Sopranos, and he also wrote five episodes of the show. He also reprised his role as Moltisanti in the prequel film The Many Saints of Newark. Imperioli co-hosts the free podcast Talking Sopranos with co-star Steven R. Schirripa. Christopher “Chris” Moltisanti, also known as Chrissy, is a former soldier, caporegime, and nightclub owner who worked as a mobster for Anthony “Tony” Soprano’s DiMeo crime family.
After 2004, he is promoted to captain of the DiMeo crime family. Christopher is a member of the “younger generation” of mobsters, and his erratic nature frequently puts him at odds with his boss and “uncle,” Tony, who has to endure his various demands and opinions on a regular basis, and as a result of Chrissy’s unpredictability constantly fears he will betray him and turn state’s evidence due to his constant drug abuse. Apart from the Mafia, Christopher has other ambitions, and at one point attempted to pursue a career in acting, which he is afraid will cause him to be rejected by his peers, though later in life, Christopher does produce a direct-to-DVD mafia-slasher film called Cleaver, which is first screened in September 2007.

He resigns and confesses his affair to his longtime friend Cyrus, who criticizes him for having an affair with a white woman. Drew discovers Flipper’s affair through Cyrus’ wife Vera and kicks him out of the house. Flipper moves in with his father, The Good Reverend Purify, a Southern Baptist preacher, and his mother, Lucinda Purify. Flipper and Angie relocate to Greenwich Village, where they face discrimination and financial difficulties.

He played Detective Nick Falco, who appeared in the final four episodes of the fifteenth season on a regular basis. Jesse L. Martin’s Detective Ed Green was temporarily replaced by Falco. He also played Falco in the episode “Hindsight” from the sixteenth season.
In the episode “Atonement” of the sixth season, Imperioli also played Johnny Stivers. Nicolas “Nick” Falco was a homicide detective who worked with Joe Fontana for a short time after Ed Green was killed (L&O: ” Tombstone”). After being framed for the murder of a woman in his own apartment a year later, Falco returns. Investigators Fontana and Green work to demonstrate his innocence, however it is resolved that the executioner was positioned to kill the person in question and casing him by the ex of a man Falco shipped off jail for quite a long time. During a standoff with the police, the man’s son holds Falco “hostage” in his apartment and threatens his life to get her to confess. Falco is cleared after the killer admits his crime and Falco and the detectives reveal that the son used a police-provided unloaded gun to stage the whole thing.
