Griffith appeared in a few films alongside her half-sister Melanie, including Fear City (1985) and Crazy in Alabama (1988). (1999). Griffith spent the next 12 years after college working in Hollywood and New York. Her film and television credits include The Guiding Light, The Good Mother (1988); Fast Food (1989); The First Power (1990); The Finest Hour (1991); All Tied Up (1993); and Ruby Ridge: An American Tragedy. She appeared on the ABC drama series The Monroes (1995). Griffith was the California Sushi Academy’s first female graduate and one of the world’s first certified female sushi chefs. She was the featured sushi chef at Beverly Hills’ Tsunamis.
She was also a partner and chef at Rika’s on Sunset, a sushi restaurant on Los Angeles’ Sunset Strip. Griffith created a sushi style that does not include raw fish. This resulted in a publishing deal for her cookbook Sushi American Style, which was published by Clarkson Potter in August 2004. In 2013, she released her second book, “Stealth Health: Lunches Kids Love,” which includes recipes that children can make themselves. Griffith appeared as the chef/host on the D.I.Y. Network’s Cooking with D.I.Y. series and Celebrity Hobbies. Griffith released a CD titled Red on the Miura label in 2006. In San Francisco, she had her first gallery show. In 2019, she relocated to Florence, Alabama, and opened her own art gallery.
