Isaac Carew was frequently asked to do odd jobs at restaurants and work in the kitchen because his father was also a chef. This sparked his interest in cooking. Meanwhile, after being scouted outside Selfridges, he decided to become a model to supplement his income. He went on to become one of the circuit’s most popular models, appearing in campaigns for brands such as Valentino, Moschino, Issey Miyake, and Hermes. He collaborated with renowned photographers Ranking and Nick Knight, who shot him all over the world for various campaigns. He is represented by a number of agencies around the world, with Next Management serving as his primary agency in the United Kingdom.
After noticing a lack of recipes that simply focus on comfort food for millennials without succumbing to fads and other market trends, he founded ‘The Dirty Dishes’ blog (and later a YouTube channel) in 2016. Carew’s video tutorials showed him cooking foods he enjoyed as a child. This was a huge success, and he was invited to appear in Channel 4’s ‘Tried and Tested: The Ultimate Shopping List with Michel Roux Jr.’ in 2017. He was Michel Roux Jr.’s right-hand man, and the two traveled all over Britain to create a definitive guide.
