Thorne studied dramatic theatre at the Professional Performing Arts School in Manhattan (PPAS). During her senior year of high school, she received the 2015 Young Arts Award in Spoken Theater as well as the White House’s U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts.
Thorne chose Cornell University after applying to several universities for academic and art programs. In the Spring of 2018, she was initiated into the Magnificent Mu Gamma Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Development with a minor in Inequality Studies the following year. She joined the Sphinx Head secret senior honors society before graduating in May 2019. She and her family will be residing in Delaware as of 2020.
