Ofelia Salazar was the daughter of Daniel and Griselda Salazar. Her parents moved to Los Angeles, California, where she was born and raised. This means she doesn’t know much about her parents’ lives before they left El Salvador. Ofelia’s most infamous characteristic is her fierce protection of her parents, whose English isn’t as good as hers. Ofelia, unlike her parents, is not fluent in Spanish, but she can speak it fairly well to English speakers.

Ofelia Salazar was the daughter of Salvadoran immigrants to the United States, Daniel Salazar and Griselda Salazar, and she lived a relatively sheltered life with her parents until her mid-twenties. Before the fall, she was engaged to a man named “William,” but the engagement was called off because he needed to relocate and Ofelia refused to leave her parents, believing that she had a responsibility to look after them. In the episode “Los Muertos,” Ofelia revealed this to Alicia Clark.

She is best known for her role as Zondra in the television series Chuck. In the opening voice-over, she is referred to as “the bitch.” Sarah suspected Zondra of being a traitor and passed information to Augusto Gaez after discovering a transmitter hidden in the heel of her boot. Zondra denied the accusation and passed a CIA lie-detector test. She, in turn, suspected Sarah of being the traitor because she was the one who discovered the transmitter. Amy, the true traitor, is later revealed to have framed her.

In Chuck Versus the Cat Squad, Zondra acts as a distraction for Clyde Decker, allowing Russian troops to land undetected.
