On January 2, 2021, Ng uploaded his first Chinese video to Bilibili, a Chinese video-sharing website. “I’m hoping you can help Uncle Roger, who has just arrived in China!” Ng stated this. “This video had a negative social impact… I was unaware of his political views or previous incorrect remarks about China.” People on Twitter panned Ng’s decision. In his subsequent first video as Uncle Roger, he stated that he would “keep making funny videos – no politics, no drama.”. He made an appearance on the first episode of BBC Two’s British comedy show Mock the Week Series 19 in 2021.
