Edward Snowden Career

Snowden was hired as an IT professional by the ‘Central Intelligence Agency’ (CIA) in 2006. He was stationed in Geneva, Switzerland, under diplomatic cover, to maintain computer network security. He discovered the surveillance system that infiltrated the general public’s privacy and began collecting documents. Snowden was fired after being suspected of obtaining top-secret documents. He then went on to work as a subcontractor for NSA in one of their Japanese offices from 2009 to 2013. He was assigned to an NSA facility at Yokota Air Base near Tokyo while working for ‘Dell.’ He was reassigned as the lead technologist to the Hawaii regional operations center in 2012.

In November 2018, he made another revelation when he produced a court declaration in the ‘Jewel vs NSA’ case, in which the ‘Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) accused the NSA and other high-ranking officials of a ‘illegal and unconstitutional dragnet communications surveillance program’ during the George W.
