Terrell just joined Fox News as a contributor, appearing on a variety of programs, including the Sean Hannity show. He has been on several Fox News shows, including Hannity and The O’Reilly Factor. Previously a Democrat, he voiced his support for President Donald Trump in a July 2020 interview, marking the first time he has done so for a Republican presidential candidate.  who refers to himself as “Leo 2.0,” says he is a happy guy now that he is a Republican.

Terrell began his career as a history, geography, and economics teacher at Gage Middle School in Huntington Park, California. Tarrell became a member of the California Bar on December 4, 1990. He was chairman of the Black-Korean Alliance, a member of the Statewide Commission Against Hate Crimes, and a member of the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s Advisory Board (EEOC). He is the author of the 1998 book Your Rights at Work–The Things Your Boss Won’t Tell You. After joining the NAACP in 1990, Terrell undertook pro bono legal work. He quit the organization after President George W. Bush nominated Carolyn Kuhl to the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Terrell has appeared on Nightline, Larry King Live, Hannity & Colmes, The O’Reilly Factor, Today, Good Morning America, and other radio programs as a legal and political expert. During O. J. Simpson’s civil trial, he supplied legal expert commentary. Terrell ran for the Los Angeles City Council District 10 seat in 2003 and came in fifth place.

He has handled a number of important cases, including representing Kumasi Simmons, a former football player from Centennial High School in Compton who was expelled for punching a referee in 1995. He accused the Beverly Hills Police Department of intimidating witnesses who could corroborate Simmons’ story.
