Jovana took a second job reporting for the Orange County News Channel to hone her reporting skills. She worked in Palm Springs and Orange County until she was hired as a reporter by KNSD in San Diego.
Jovana won an Emmy during her first year in San Diego for a story about a small village near Tijuana that washed away in the 1997 El Nino mudslides. Two other stories were also nominated for Emmys that year. She later received accolades from the San Diego Press Club.
Jovana has won four Emmys for her work as a co-host on Vista L.A. since joining ABC7 Eyewitness News in 2000.
