Cramer’s first employment, beginning in 1971, was selling Coca-Cola and subsequently ice cream at Veterans Stadium during Philadelphia Phillies games.
Cramer began studying stocks in fourth grade and continued to do so throughout high school. He covered the Ted Bundy murders in Tallahassee, Florida, where he worked for a Democrat and for the Los Angeles Herald Examiner. His track record of successful stock picks landed him a job as a stockbroker with Goldman Sachs.
